SFD SATURDAY MORNING WEEKLY 4
RESTAURANT OF THE WEEK ‘PHO’ TORONTO
Pho Linh
I am a Pho lover… There, I said it. I have tried pho all over the city, well all over the world actually. I’ve had pho in Paris, I’ve had pho in San Francisco and I’ve even had pho in Ho Chi Min city. I fell in love with it when I was 20 years old and there was a pho hung at Bloor and avenue on the 2nd floor next to my real estate office.
I am often asked what is my favourite place for pho. I think there can be lots of criteria for what makes a great pho spot; rolls, cleanliness ;), and a few others but I think it really comes down to the broth.
And if the broth is the criteria then the best spot in Toronto is Pho Linh on Dundas. The soup is Perfect so light, aromatic and just salted perfectly.
Best pho (soup) in the city goes to Pho Linh.
TECH SPOTLIGHT
Is the Tile Pro better than the Apple Airtag?
The Tile Pro is like your loyal sidekick, always ready to save the day when you're in a pinch (or just can't find your keys).
With its sleek design and water-resistant superpowers, it's like the James Bond of tracking devices, ready to stealthily blend in with your belongings and swoop in to save the day when needed. Its Bluetooth range is so impressive, it's like having a personal assistant with supersonic hearing, able to locate your lost items with ease.
And if that's not enough to tickle your funny bone, just imagine the look on your face when you realize you can make your phone ring by double-pressing your Tile Pro – it's like magic, but with a side of hilarity!
REAL ESTATE SPOTLIGHT
$2,600,000 Toronto Home
Enough with the condos, let’s look at some houses!
Welcome to the epitome of Toronto living - where this rare gem of a home combines luxury with the quirkiness only a true Torontonian could appreciate. Nestled on one of Summerhill's most coveted streets, this 4-bedroom abode has undergone more renovations than a character in a home improvement reality show. And let me tell you, it's been renovated with such care, you'd think the contractors were whispering sweet nothings to the walls.
As you step through the proper foyer (because, of course, a home of this caliber deserves a "proper" entrance), you're greeted by a living room with ceilings so high, you might need a ladder to change the lightbulbs. But fear not, the hardwood floors are so perfectly matched throughout, you won't even notice if you drop a few crumbs from your artisanal croissant procured from the nearby cafes.
The kitchen? Oh, it's a modern marvel, with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that practically beg you to host a soirée for your nearest and dearest. And let's not forget the backyard - it's so deep, you could probably plant an entire vineyard back there and start your own Summerhill wine label. As for the rooftop deck? Well, it's the perfect spot to sip a glass of said hypothetical wine and ponder just how lucky you are to live in a home where luxury meets laughter.

RIDDLE ANSWER
Two girls ordered iced tea at a bar. One chugged her drink while the other drank it slowly. The girl who chugged her drink survived while the other did not. Both drinks were poisoned. Why did only one survive?
The poison was in the ice! The ice didn’t have enough time to melt when the girl chugged her drink, hence her survival.
BOOK RECO
"Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" is a rollercoaster ride through the world of video game design, following the unlikely duo of Sam Masur and Sadie Green. From their chance encounter on a cold Harvard day to their meteoric rise to fame with their blockbuster game "Ichigo," their journey is filled with more drama than a soap opera on fast-forward. Despite their success, they face challenges that would make even the hardiest gamer reach for the cheat codes, including creative clashes, betrayals, and the perils of their own ambitions. Set against the backdrop of Cambridge, Massachusetts, to the sunny shores of Venice Beach, California, this novel explores identity, disability, and the quest for connection—albeit with more pixelated passion than your average love story. Grab a coffee and buckle up, because this isn't your grandma's romance novel—it's a pixel-perfect page-turner with enough twists and turns to make even Mario jealous.
