FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES
L’Opera St Tropez
Wow!
Let me tell you something, if you’re looking for dinner and a show and you find yourself on the French Riviera, have I got a spot for you.
L'Opera is the most incredible supper club I think I've ever been to. The place is half inside and half outside. It's all white and covered in shiny gold and black art pieces.
The energy of the room hits you immediately with music playing just at the right level and then bamm, the shows start with dancers and singers going up creating an incredibly fun evening with great food. I had Peruvian style ceviche and the lobster pasta (not enough lobster) but probably the best one I've ever eaten.
It was my friend Noam Kaniels bday so we really hit the town hard and we really didn't need to go anywhere else, we did of course, go to an after party at a VIP room but Noam parties even harder than me and it was his bday after all.
Check this place out for sure.
TECH SPOTLIGHT
Google's AI – Hype or Help?
It’s no secret that consumers and investors are weary of AI hype, and Google seems to get it. At the "Made by Google" event in Mountain View, Google's senior VP Rick Osterloh promised something different: no more vague teasers, just real, practical AI. “Today, we’re getting real... we're going to answer the biggest question people have about AI: What can AI do for me?”
But did Google deliver? After you peel away the glitz—the celebrity cameos, the tech jargon, and the flashy Pixel phone specs—what’s left? Is any of it a game-changer?
Google did show off a few useful AI features, like Gemini’s ability to sync your calendar with information from images and hold natural conversations through its voice assistant, Gemini Live. There’s also Gemini Nano, which offers private summaries of your phone calls, and the handy ability to search through your screenshots. But beyond that, much of the event felt like a rehash of AI tricks we’ve seen before—photo editing tools, generative AI images, and a new “Add Me” feature that lets you insert yourself into celebrity photos.
So, will these updates be enough to shift the growing skepticism around AI? Don’t count on Gemini to answer that one anytime soon.
REAL ESTATE SPOTLIGHT
Paris 7 - Champ de Mars ~ € 1,619,000
Here is a cute apartment not too far from ours in Paris.
I have to say, Paris is delightful in so many ways. If you've done the touristy stuff and now you're getting to know a city, this city really has it all when it comes to dining and dancing. Paris is magic.
