FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES
Le Pre aux Clercs ~ Paris
We are at the Olympics and OMG the energy is insane. It is surprisingly super easy to get reservations at restaurants. I think many restaurants stayed open during what is normally a quiet time. Much of France takes off next week for their vacations, so perhaps we will notice more difficulties then.
Anyhow, on Tuesday we decided to head to St Germain to look for a light 💡 for the ceiling and grab a quick bite at a local brasserie. My kids were dying to stand in line for the "Relais du Entrecôte" which is a total favourite of my good friend Varun but I wasn't going to have it. One hour for all you can eat steak, fries, and gravy is not my idea of fun. We walked down the street and checked out a cute local brasserie "Le Pre aux Clercs", it was great. I had one of my faves, a half chicken with a scalloped style potatoes and the kids went with burgers.
Perle 😡... decided she would squeeze the ketchup bottle really hard without opening it completely and it went all over us barely missing the tables next to us. Let's just say we have a funny story for the future. Le Pre aux Clercs gets two 👍👍s up and is definitely not a tourist trap, plus it’s down the street from two of the most famous cafes in Paris - Les Deux Magots and La Cafe Flore. We had dessert at Les Deux Magots with a table by the street. It was a great night :)
TECH SPOTLIGHT
AI in Mental Health
AI is revolutionizing mental health diagnostics by moving beyond simple pattern recognition to employ sophisticated algorithms. These algorithms, trained on vast datasets including patient records, brain scans, and anonymized social media interactions, can identify subtle linguistic and behavioral cues to detect early signs of conditions like depression and anxiety. Additionally, AI can analyze patients' medical histories, social factors, and genetic predispositions to predict susceptibility to mental health disorders, allowing for proactive interventions and preventive measures.
AI also supports the customization of treatment plans by analyzing individual responses to various therapies. This enables recommendations for the most effective treatments, optimizing outcomes and enhancing overall care. Embracing AI in mental health care significantly improves the precision, timeliness, and personalization of diagnostics and treatments, offering new hope for better outcomes.
REAL ESTATE SPOTLIGHT
46 William Ave ~ $1,795,000
I have always liked the idea of the Collingwood area for a cottage/cabin/summer/winter thing. The idea that you could be on the water with a short 20 min drive to the hills of blue mountains for under 2 million dollars. For me, that appeals 👍.
Below is a great little listing that fits the bill, I think there is still a little wiggle room there before we call it a good deal but it doesn't matter how much you slice it. If you're looking long term, most things are a good deal.
Happy hunting-

MOVIE REVIEW OF THE WEEK
“IF” The Movie Review - Written by Andre Bharti
I honestly took my daughter to this movie called “IF”. And I thought as “IF “ I’m going to like it.
No jokes aside, I sat there crying at least three times. I had to ask myself why?
But I quickly realized why I was crying. My 6-year-old was looking at me while I’m crying, and wondering what is up with Dada. But truth be told, and I don’t want to ruin the movie…but it’s about the age of innocence. As we get older, we become more jaded. We won’t believe in Imaginary Friends, because we’re told they’re not real.
But I do believe there’s an innocence, and maybe a reality in seeing somebody that is actually there. This movie brings this innocence back to your real life.
You’re never too old to believe in something. John Krasinkski wrote and directed this movie, and I believe he wrote it for his children to show them we’re NEVER too old to have imaginary friends with us.
Santa Clause still exists for me, and this movie makes you remember that age is just a number. Don’t be getting old too quickly and never give up on your Imaginary Friends, because they might just be the only real ones you have.
This is a tear-jerker, and a decision maker. Life is hard, but don’t lose your innocence. We all get old, but we don’t have to lose those little things that always keep us young.
If anything, this move gives us a looking glass. Maybe you will see your reflection. Maybe you’ll just realize that we’re for whatever it is and say hi to your Imaginary Friend. Hopefully they talk back. Either way…great movie and great acting and great Karma.
