FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES

Tatiana NYC

So, this week while the kids went to camp, Brianna and I decided to hit New York City for a little adults getaway and let me tell you, NYC did not disappoint.

Ok ok, so this is about food and Tatiana's is where it's at. This restaurant in the upper west side is dubbed the hardest restaurant to get a reservation at right now. Brianna and I took a shot in the dark and agreed that we would go there and hope for the best without a reso. We got seated at the bar and it was perfect.

This is a Caribbean inspired restaurant with hints of Asian and even a Massive pastrami dish #totallyinsane!

We started with a peppery hamachi dish (YUM) AND... The greatest goat patties I've ever had in my entire life. Brianna ate them with a knife and fork but me, I had it by hand. There were three but I had two of them, well, because my date saw the happiness in my eyes. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth.

This place is dropping the best 90s retro hip hop, soul music and apparently becomes more of like a supper club around 10pm.

This is a winner 🥇 and if you're looking for something outside of the typical NYC old school spots, I would go here for sure.

TECH SPOTLIGHT

The Vision AI Sunglasses?

If you're looking for glasses with hands-free video recording and an AI voice assistant, the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are currently the top choice. However, Solos plans to release "The Vision" later this year. These glasses will include a camera and feature OpenAI’s GPT-4o AI model, enabling them to recognize objects and answer questions based on what you see.

The Vision glasses come with a swappable frame system, allowing you to easily change frames for different looks or functionality, such as switching to sun shades. They will also include notification LEDs to alert you of incoming calls or emails. Additionally, The Vision glasses can integrate with Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude AI models. While they don't have a display other than the LEDs, they can answer questions via audio, similar to the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.

REAL ESTATE SPOTLIGHT

1500 Ocean Dr, Apt 410, Miami Beach ~ $599,000

Everybody knows I'm a big fan of Miami Beach. I love the boardwalk and I walk it everyday when I'm there. I have always been a fan of Lincoln road and while it has died a bit over the last 5 years, I'm confident it will come back. Most people are wanting a little more than just a trip to Brickell, especially if you're on vacation, so, if you're looking for a little place to hang your beach stuff that’s walkable to Lincoln and has some great amenities, I would look at this little listing.

UPCOMING SPORTS EVENTS

Paris Olympics 2024

Get ready for an exhilarating summer because the Paris Olympics are just around the corner, starting on July 26th! The City of Light will host a dazzling array of events, from the high-flying gymnastics to the lightning-fast track races. Don’t miss out on the spectacular swimming competitions and thrilling cycling races through the historic streets.

However, there’s a bit of a splashy controversy brewing. The water events, including swimming and triathlon, will be taking place in the Seine. While it’s an iconic location, some are concerned about the water quality. Let’s hope the Seine is ready to welcome our aquatic athletes without any hiccups!
