FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES
George Restaurant
Last week was a huge week for me. It was the Camh unmasked gala, and I had the chance to bring along one of my best friends, Pat Dovigi. After my speech, Patrick surprised the whole crowd, and the whole city with a million dollar donation on my behalf, I was blown away. Once again I want to thank Patrick, I’m not sure if he reads this, but if he does, I love you.
This should be more about the food, Patrick often laughs at me about how much and how fast I eat, and even made several comments that evening. So, here goes, we were at the Bau - Xi gallery and the caterer that night was George restaurant. For many many years I would eat at George restaurant with a friend of mine Mark Burnes and we always always loved it. George is East of Young Street on Queen where the food and the vibe is spectacular. I have to say the food that night catered by George was incredible, the perfectly mini cut vegetables and my beef tenderloin is still resonating with me as I'm writing this today. I'm a tartare lover and it was perfect. Crostini city!
George thank you for dinner. I really love your restaurant and I can't wait to go back.
TECH SPOTLIGHT
Got an Iphone?
Get ready for some exciting changes with Apple’s iOS 18 update! You’ll find new ways to customize your home screen, search for photos, and organize emails. iMessage is also getting a major upgrade.
Good news for iPhone and Android texters: the Messages app now supports RCS, meaning higher resolution images and better group chats. Plus, read receipts will work with those green texts!
Reactions, or “tapbacks,” will expand to include any emoji or sticker, and you can make your messages pop by having words expand or bounce on the screen. Scheduled messaging is here too, perfect for night owls and pre-planners.
If you have an iPhone 14 or newer, you can even send iMessages via satellite when there’s no cell reception or Wi-Fi, with end-to-end encryption.
And let’s not forget the new AI features like a smarter Siri and an “Image Playground” for creative texting. Texting with iOS 18 is about to get a whole lot more fun!
