FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES

If you're reading this and you're from Toronto, you know that we are city FULL of shawarma spots. 

Truthfully, I'm an old school Ali Babas and Falafel World 🌎 lover, west end kid. 

But the king of shawarmas has arrived downtown at Alphas Shawarma at Queen and Bathurst and there is simply no debate.

This shawarma, beef or chicken, comes off the turny thing with just the perfect amount of crispiness and spice. 

It is then wrapped in a flatbread with the most amazing humus and FRESH accoutrements you could ask for, like perfect. 

It’s topped with this incredible pomegranate sauce and wrapped, then dipped slightly in the dripping and grilled to finish. A small dollop of garlic sauce and you are passed the most incredible shawarma in the city. Take note Toronto, they have hit it BIG with this one. 

Now, I'm not going to feel guilty about this. I had to get gas after so I headed north to Harbord street. I was feeling like I needed something sweet. I grabbed a snickers bar and had one bite and threw it out. I felt no guilt and truth be told, it wasn't as great as I remembered it.

Get ready for an AI-packed extravaganza at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024! This year's event will spotlight iOS 18 and its exciting AI integrations. Siri is getting a major upgrade with Apple's own AI, allowing it to control app features and perform tasks without setup. Picture asking Siri to delete an email or edit a photo seamlessly. Siri’s voice will sound more natural, and you can even use it on your Apple Watch to control other devices.

Apple Photos is also getting a new interface with AI-powered tools like a “Clean Up” feature to remove unwanted objects from your pictures. Safari is becoming smarter with AI recaps of web pages and news articles. Notes will now transcribe audio and solve math problems, making note-taking smarter and easier. iMessage will feature custom emoji creation and AI-generated replies, enhancing your texting experience.

Mail will include AI-suggested email replies, helping you manage your inbox more efficiently. Maps will support custom route creation with AI, making trip planning a breeze. Apple Music is set to rival Spotify with AI-powered auto-generated playlists, and other apps like Freeform, Xcode, and Apple’s productivity suite will also receive GenAI features. Get ready to explore these fantastic AI advancements at WWDC 2024!
