FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES

La Plume
La Plume!
What a treat 😍. The newest hot spot on Wellington blew me away. I met a friend for a quick lunch and let me tell you... this place did not disappoint.
Truth be told, we didn't eat that much. We started with oysters and beer. We then shared a tartare (10/10), had a second beer and then we were told it was happy hour, it was half price oysters and beer, so we did another round of those.
I did see some incredible plates being passed around and I am sure they were delicious. The place is super cute and very French chic, but it's one of many restaurants that are opening up at THE Well and it really did feel like Wellington St. was finally buzzing, which gets me super excited because we have an office on that street.
I give a double thumbs up to La Plume for a drink, oysters, and tartare. I can bet that the rest of the French inspired dishes will be a hit as well.
Well done ;)
TECH SPOTLIGHT

Will businesses utilize Copilot?
Microsoft announced Copilot+ PCs in collaboration with major PC makers, signaling a major shift in the PC landscape. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite, and soon AMD and Intel chips, these PCs promise significant performance and battery life improvements. CEO Satya Nadella highlighted a new multimodal interface that better understands user needs. This marks a significant upgrade from previous Qualcomm-based machines, now featuring most enterprise management apps and a new "Prism" emulator for x86 software.
Early business adopters will likely be enterprises fully migrated to Windows 11, using modern management, and with Arm-based Macs. Native Arm applications for Office 365, Edge, and many third-party apps enhance compatibility. With impressive demos of features like Recall and real-time translation, Qualcomm may emerge as a third major CPU provider for Windows. Final machines are due next month, and people are eager to test them.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Rather then give you a quote I thought I would give you a nice poem. Poland is very well known to have the greatest poets in the world ;). - SFD
My apologies to chance for calling it necessity.
My apologies to necessity if I'm mistaken, after all.
Please, don't be angry, happiness, that I take you as my due.
May my dead be patient with the way my memories fade.
My apologies to time for all the world I overlook each second.
My apologies to past loves for thinking that the latest is the first.
Forgive me, distant wars, for bringing flowers home.
Forgive me, open wounds, for pricking my finger.
I apologize for my record of minuets to those who cry from the depths.
I apologize to those who wait in railway stations for being asleep today at five a.m.
Pardon me, hounded hope, for laughing from time to time.
Pardon me, deserts, that I don't rush to you bearing a spoonful of water.
And you, falcon, unchanging year after year, always in the same cage,
your gaze always fixed on the same point in space,
forgive me, even if it turns out you were stuffed.
My apologies to the felled tree for the table's four legs.
My apologies to great questions for small answers.
Truth, please don't pay me much attention.
Dignity, please be magnanimous.
Bear with me, O mystery of existence, as I pluck the occasional thread from your train.
Soul, don't take offense that I've only got you now and then.
My apologies to everything that I can't be everywhere at once.
My apologies to everyone that I can't be each woman and each man.
I know I won't be justified as long as I live,
since I myself stand in my own way.
Don't bear me ill will, speech, that I borrow weighty words,
then labor heavily so that they may seem light.

CAMH’S SUNRISE CHALLENGE

The founder of our newsletter, SFD, has a great desire to make an impact on a place very special to him in Toronto. Camh is Canada’s largest mental health facility and it played an important role in the recovery of SFD during a mental health crisis.
The sunrise challenge aims to fuel research breakthroughs, accelerate the pace of discovery, and show people with mental illness that they are not alone.
If this is a cause you would like to support it would mean the world to SFD if you could find it in your heart to donate :)
