FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES

Gigi Rigolatto Paris

Let’s do Paris because I just spent the week there and I ate with a good friend at one of my faves.

On the top floor of rue de la montagne we got a 2nd seating ;) reso at Gigi. This restaurant is super sexy and SO well done.

The food is bomb 💣. If you love great classic Italianesque food than look no further. It’s a supper club mind you, so expect the rocking music, cool decor and high prices. But the view of the Eiffel Tower can’t be beat. If you get there in the summer, try to get patio seating. I took my parents last year. They were blown away.

This time we had the shrimp and calamari starter and some proscuitto. I went with a friend who works at Moet so champagne was a must. We then had some pizza, pasta and some incredible tiramisu.

This place is fun, lively, not cheap and very glamorous. A must when visiting Paris. Having said that, Paris can be tricky. If the place is really great and you don’t look the part, there is no way you’re getting in without a reso, so, Make a reso.

TECH SPOTLIGHT

Disruptive Technology Takeover?

Disruptive technology, in a nutshell, is like that wild card in a game of Monopoly that flips the board and changes the rules. It's a game-changer, a technological innovation that upends traditional ways of doing things and reshapes entire industries. Whether it's AI, blockchain, or the Internet of Things, disruptive tech doesn't just improve upon existing systems – it revolutionizes them, often in unexpected ways.

It’s like the unexpected guest at a party who shows up, steals the spotlight, and suddenly everyone wants to hang out with them. It's shaking up industries faster than you can say "innovation," leaving traditional businesses scrambling to keep up.

Take Toronto-Dominion Bank, for example. They're just doing their banking thing when they scoop up Layer 6 AI, a start-up that's basically the Einstein of data analysis. Suddenly, TD's got this fancy AI predicting customers' needs before they even know they have them. It's like having a psychic teller at every branch, but with better interest rates.

And it's not just TD. Companies everywhere are jumping on the disruptive tech bandwagon like it's the hottest trend since avocado toast. They're throwing around terms like "acquisition" and "integration" faster than you can say "Siri, what's the meaning of life?"

But hey, who can blame them? In a world where even your toaster is connected to the internet, you either adapt or risk becoming as relevant as a fax machine at a smartphone convention.

So, here's to disruptive technology, the party crasher we never knew we needed. Who knows what's next? Maybe self-driving cars that can navigate rush hour traffic while serving you coffee. After all, in the world of tech, the only constant is change – and a healthy dose of humor to go with it.
