FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES

I don't know how often you find yourself near Danforth and Pape, but if you do there is a great little spot called Burger Hill.

I found myself at Burger Hill last week because my son, who likesish to golf with me 🙏 wanted to hit Dentonia park. Dentonia is a city course in Scarborough, it's a par 3 and he likes to shoot a good score ;) so that's why we hit there.

He was dying for Burgers Priest, but we stumbled upon Burger Hill on Danforth. We both had smash burgers. I had one on lettuce 🥬 (trying to lose a few LBs) and we had the fries.

Fries A1, gravy A1, burger with the Hill sauce A1. This place was a surprising little gem. If you're near there, hit it. It's great.

TECH SPOTLIGHT

🚀 Fasten Your Seatbelts—Supersonic is Back!

In a move straight out of The Jetsons, supersonic air travel just got the green light to roar back over U.S. skies. President Trump signed an executive order lifting a 52-year-old ban on faster-than-sound flights over land—so long as your ears don’t catch the sonic boom.

What does this mean? Think NYC to LA in under four hours. Yes, you might actually make it coast-to-coast before your inflight movie ends.

Tech players like Boom Supersonic are already celebrating. Their CEO summed it up in one triumphant word: “Booooom!” (We imagine that’s best read with jazz hands.) With their XB-1 demonstrator already shattering speed records, this new regulatory green light could be the beginning of a whole new era in commercial flight.

And it doesn’t stop there—drones and flying taxis also got a turbo boost from a pair of executive orders supporting faster development and smarter airspace rules. TL;DR: The skies are about to get a whole lot more interesting.

✈️ Supersonic, drones, air taxis—welcome to the future of flight. No passport required.

REAL ESTATE SPOTLIGHT

This week I had lunch with some of my friends at Tridel. I’ve always loved their buildings and sold many units there over the years. Aqualuna, The Well and the project on DuPont have been projects that have transformed the city. Those gorgeous colours and balcony shapes at Aqualuna are by far the most avantgarde in Toronto.

Attached are a few units available at each of these projects. By the way, I have just added my license to the Nigel Denham team so please let me know if you want to see any of these units and I'll be happy to connect you to a rep there.

REMINDER

BTW, at the bottom of this NL is our invite to the www.untuckedgolf.com on Sept 15th. Frankie along with George Pimentel (Canada’s N#1 photographer) are hosting their first tourney to support CamH. George is the king of galas so this little tourney is bound to have some tricks up its sleeve. Now, attached here are a few links to behind the scenes photos of his last few galas in Toronto. Check them out and enjoy 😉.

WORD OF THE WEEK

Eloquent

What It Means

An eloquent speaker or writer expresses ideas forcefully and fluently; an eloquent speech or piece of writing likewise expresses ideas in such a way. Eloquent can also describe something that is vividly or movingly expressive.

FRANKIE’S SONG OF THE WEEK

100 WEEKS OF POSITIVE MESSAGES

Frankie did 100 days of positive messages 3 years ago. He wanted to center them around mental health and positivity. We will post them each week for 100 weeks.

Great meeting you

Wow! How powerful is that to say to someone?

Were you impressed with someone and hope to take one of the things they said or did and apply them?

Let them know.

You would be surprised how many people hear little praise about themselves.

Paying someone a compliment is not just about saying thank you, it is about noticing little things and acknowledging people who go out of their way.

There are 8 billion of us on this planet, it really is smaller than you think it is. Be the one that brightens someones day and don’t be afraid to let someone know they brightened yours.

Do you have someone you recently met and you are glad you did ? Let them know.

You may be surprised that they are dying to connect, just as you are.

That person could be in a crappy relationship, mental space or could just use a lift that day.

Voila ! You have just made a new friend.

Compliments never go out of style 🕺🏼

“I really enjoyed that walk”

“I Love the way you make me feel”

“You’ve got great taste”

“You are fun to be around”

“Thank you for including me”

“I’d love to do something nice for you”

“You’re a great cook”

“You have a special talent”

“You give me the warm and fuzzies”

“I love your energy”

“I noticed what you did, that was great!”

“Can I pay this forward in some way?“

“It was great to meet you” 😍

Did you know that YOUR little gesture or words can turn someone’s day around.

Give it a try, what is there to lose? 👫

Pro Tennis’ Next Great Rivalry

Unbelievable shot after unbelievable shot. An epic comeback that looked like it would never materialize. The top two in the world at their craft.

Even the casual observers accidentally finding the French Open final last week had to be enthralled. The record breaking 5-hour, 29-minute test of wills and fitness levels was tremendous.

Before the finalists touched the court last weekend, the scene was set for a legendary match: world number one Jannik Sinner against number two Carlos Alcaraz on clay, in Paris, with a vibrant tennis crowd cheering them on.

Italia (Sinner) vs. Espana (Alcaraz) for the second straight year at Roland Garros – in 2024, Alcaraz won their semi-final match-up. Alcaraz having beat Sinner in the Italian Open final just a few weeks prior, his third straight head-to-head win.

Sinner for his part had won the last two majors – the 2024 US Open (my fave tournament) and the 2025 Australian Open (his second straight win Down Under). The world’s top ranked player looked like he was going to run away with the French Open, which would have been his first title there.

However, it was not to be. Alcaraz came back to win the next three sets and stake his claim as tennis’ King of Clay (11 of his 20 career titles are on that surface), a title his countryman Rafael Nadal held for a generation. He is only the third players to win all four “big” clay court titles in the Open Era, which includes the Madrid Open and Monte Carlo Masters events.

It was the Spaniard’s second straight French Open title and fifth major of his career (the 2022 US Open, 2023 and 2024 Wimbledon titles). He is also now 8-4 against Sinner and has won their last four head-to-head matchups.

But the results took a second seat to the tennis being played. There were unimaginable rallies, shots that looked impossible to make (until one or the other made it), intense desire and determination, and an entertainment level that reached for the heavens.

That’s what a final is supposed to look like, and the bar is now set.

This rivalry now moves to the grass court portion of the season, and we should all be hoping for a late round (hopefully the final) match between the two at Wimbledon. Sinner’s best result at the All England Club was a semi-final appearance in 2023.

As noted before, Alcaraz won the last two tournaments there and would join an elite group if he won his third straight Wimbledon title this year. He would join the ranks of Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic.

Despite Alcaraz’s success on clay and grass, something tells me that loss in Paris is going to push Sinner to yet another level. If that’s the case, it may be a long while before Alcaraz wins another major they’re both involved in.

Which would then really set the rivalry off – imagine Sinner takes the next two majors to cement his number one status, causing Alcaraz going into the offseason with renewed determination to be on top.

The tennis that would be coming next could be the best ever played by two men attempting to become the greatest ever. Judging by the shot making last week in Paris, it’s certainly within the realm of possibility.

The part of this burgeoning rivalry, which is tennis’ best now and has the potential to be the best ever, is that both players are still very young. Sinner is 23 and Alcaraz is 22. They are this generation’s Federer vs. Nadal or Agassi vs. Sampras or McEnroe vs. Borg (seriously look all of these up – at least the YouTube highlights).

After that epic, legendary, record-breaking French Open final, the stage is set for Sinner-Alcaraz to take their rivalry to a historic level.

That’s it for me! Ciao for Now!
