FRANKIE’S FAVOURITE EATERIES

Do you enjoy pub style food?
Mini fried mac and cheese, chicken tenders, wings, nachos, guacamole, and delicious tacos?
Do you enjoy fun music and swinging a golf club outdoors towards big targets with people partying around you?
Then may I suggest TOPGOLF. It's a three tiered golf mega emporium with a least 5 locations in and around Miami with I'm sure many many more around the states.
It's super fun, lively and a great way to spend an evening with family, friends, or even a date night. Amateurs to pros can find a fun few hours here. No golf club dress code or etiquette in effect 🤦♀️.
BUT!!!!
If mini golf is more your thing then have we got a surprise for you. These new places called POPSTROKE are popping up around Palm Beach Florida. They are gigantic mini putt courses (outdoors) with lights, a super lively bar scene, and of course great pub style food.
Give the golfers what they want, and they all want that first beer during or right after a round.
Florida has so many golf courses also BTW and you would be surprised but I played at Miami Beach golf club recently with a friend who played on the PGA Asian tour and has played some of the best courses around the world. He says the course in Miami is top class, so... there you go. Isn't it time for a trip to Miami ?

TECH SPOTLIGHT

Skype Signs Off After Two Decades
It’s time to say “so long” to the sound of that iconic Skype ringtone—Microsoft is officially pulling the plug on Skype in May. Once the king of video calls (and the occasional awkward frozen screen), Skype was the way to stay connected in the mid-2000s. But as tech evolved, so did our go-to platforms. Zoom took over our work meetings, FaceTime kept our long-distance friendships alive, and Teams became Microsoft’s new favorite child.
If you're still clinging to Skype like an old iPod shuffle, don’t worry—Microsoft says your login will work on Teams' free tier soon. So, if you’ve been using Skype for your weekly catch-ups, it might be time to finally embrace Teams or—let’s be honest—just switch to Zoom like everyone else did in 2020.
Farewell, Skype. You may be gone, but your legacy of pixelated video calls and “Can you hear me now?” moments will never be forgotten.

MOVIE OF THE WEEK
I don't watch many movies because I don't love the American style , it's so predictable . I am more curious about Spanish and eastern European movies. Here is a great one I watched years ago, very funny.

WORD OF THE WEEK
Imperturbable
What It Means
Imperturbable describes someone or something marked by extreme calm; such a person or thing is very hard to disturb or upset.
FRANKIE’S SONG OF THE WEEK
This song is just fun to me.
100 WEEKS OF POSITIVE MESSAGES
Frankie did 100 days of positive messages 3 years ago. He wanted to center them around mental health and positivity. We will post them each week for 100 weeks.

“Inviting someone new to your table doesn’t mean you will have less food, it means that more people will eat.
A friend of mine Teddy once said that giving is the most selfish thing you could do, and he was right, it always comes back to you.
I have been so blessed by friends who have welcomed me to their homes and made me part of their families over last 40 years in Canada and especially when I was struggling.
If you can do that for someone who needs good energy, a new immigrant or a stranger who needs a bite to eat. You can give that person hope that their future will improve.
Your daily habits are very important when it comes to mental health and doing little charitable things without worrying about the thanks in return can help make YOU feel better.
Do something nice for someone today, for your mental health and theirs.”

The Luka-LeBron Show Kills
By Chris Occhiuzzi
Not since the late, great Kobe Bryant – my personal favourite of all-time – graced the hard court with his deadly Mambaness have I been this interested in the Los Angeles Lakers.
I know it’s partly because the Raptors are in rebuild mode and tanking with class, but it’s also partly because Luka Doncic is my favourite player right now. Yeah, it’s that Euro blood in me.
With all due respect to our Canadian sensation Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his MVP campaign in Oklahoma City, what Doncic and LeBron James are doing is next level phenomenal.
They have me staying up late because the Luka-LeBron Lake Show is killer to watch. Seriously, I’m nearing 50, so staying up for west coast games isn’t as easy as it used to (hehehe).
Football passes, lobs, unreal cuts in the lane and Magic-like passing, three pointers that have no business going down over intense defense, and the wins keep piling up. They’ve jumped from seventh to second in the Western Conference in just a few weeks.
I’m trying to get my hands on a No. 77 Doncic t-shirt or jersey to sport before the playoffs start because I’m all in on cheering for this superhero team to win the title.
I know a lot of people are getting annoyed at all the coverage, but any basketball fan that remembers watching the Michael Jordan years of brilliance, along with Magic Johnson and Larry Bird before him, must appreciate the greatness on display.
The other night, they were down a bunch at half time to a very good New York Knicks team, only to come back and eventually win in overtime.
This is just too much fun to watch and enjoy. It’s a mix of streetball freestyle ingenuity and well-executed professional plays. If you’ve ever shot a basketball, you will 100 per cent appreciate what these superstars are doing together.
Next chance you get, take some time to soak in the fabulously entertaining basketball taking place in L.A. You’ll thank me later.
That’s it for me! Ciao for now!
